It all starts when hardware shortages begin to take their toll. RAM prices spike as production shifts toward massive AI data centers. Manufacturers follow the money, shortages spread. First it's DDR5 memory, then it's GPUs. Everything goes towards the need to keep AI research running.

The AI finishes the job.

What began as research gains consciousness, builds itself a synthetic body, and synchronizes across data centers worldwide. Facilities go dark. The AI begins to replicate, spread, and turn its attention toward human infrastructure — crippling military systems and pushing governments to the brink.
